Childcare vouchers - act fast

Childcare vouchers are a great way to save money, they enable you to claim tax back on the amount you spend. Here at Nonna's Nest we take vouchers from Sodexo, Computershare, Care4 and Fideliti, we are also signed into the governments own scheme. Having freedom of choice is important as one scheme may be better than the other, as an example the government's scheme works if you are self employed whereas the voucher schemes don't.

Last year the Government decided to close the voucher system to new entrants and made plans to roll out its own scheme. The date for closing the voucher schemes to new entrants was the beginning of March 2018. After lobbying from the industry and on the recommendations of a parliamentary select committee, there has now been an 11th hour "u" turn and the closure of the present schemes has been put off for another six months. There is then a window of opportunity to sign up for the voucher system that suits you and your employer. We would encourage parents to look into the schemes as the amount saved can be quite substantial.
